“Look at him. I get to marry him. I have no clue how I got so lucky but He’s all mine. so even if everything goes down in flames on our wedding day, it’ll still be the best day in my life because as i’m married to him at the end of the day.

South Carolina Wedding Photographer

Hi there! My name is Mary Hayden (but most people call me MH) and I am a wedding/elopement photographer located in the southern corner of the country, South Carolina. When dreaming and planning out this business so many years ago— I knew I needed foundations for my business. So I came up with 3 foundations of how I run this business so before you even hit that injury button or reach out to me— you hear my heart! You understand that this is waaaayyy more than just a business to me, this is story telling & celebrating. This is stepping into season of life and saying “Hey I’m right here beside you ready to capture it for you to the best of my ability” (+ lots of bad jokes in the process).

1. Intentionality: I want to be intentional about getting to know my couples. your wedding day is a beautiful, special and sacred day. I want to know what matters to you, what you're excited about and to truly capture who you are as a couple.

2. Honesty: I want to be very honest with you about the whole process of working with me because I would want somebody to be honest with me. As a photographer, I want you to trust me to be able to capture your day to the best of my ability and I feel that trust is established through being honest with you right from the first initial contact message.

3. Trust: This one kind of goes hand in hand with honesty but I wanted to chat about this one for a second. Trust between you and your photographer is so important. I truly can't say that enough! This is your wedding day--your day! And your photographer should be someone you know is going to capture your day in all it's glory. Somebody who you don't have to worry about what they are doing or if they even know what they are doing. You have the 50 family members all trying to race up to you at different points to worry about!
